About Me
About Me
Born and raised in Taipei (Taiwan), I received a STEM-oriented education, which inspired me to pursue a career in robotics. After high school, I moved to Hong Kong for my undergraduate study, where I seized the opportunities to participate in the student exchange programs at TU Delft in the Netherlands and at Georgia Tech in the US. After college and the military service in Taiwan, I relocated to Cambridge (MA) in the US to start my PhD program at MIT.
Intrigued by the flying creatures, I studied mechanical/aerospace engineering during my undergrad and have been focusing on aerial robot research since my freshmen year in college. In my PhD program, I started to work with soft actuators and implement them on miniature aerial vehicles. I hope that one day, these human-friendly soft flappers can achieve comparable performance to their natural counterparts.
During my free time, I enjoy doing sports. I was on the baseball team in my high school and the Hitmanics baseball team when I was in the Netherlands. At MIT, I now play badminton with the MIT Badminton Club and casually swim and run on campus.
